It's that time of the year! Sleep away camp is right around the corner 😃 If this is your kid's first time going to sleep away camp, you both may be a little hesitant. Here are our tips to prepare for a great camp experience!
1. Connect With Another Camper
If your child doesn't have any friends going to the same camp as them, try to find an camper in your area to meet before. A familiar face will help them adjust easier on their first day!
2. Share Camp Memories
If you went to camp as a child, share some of your memories and camp photos with your child. This can help them with any camp jitters they may be feeling and make them excited for camp!
3. Sleepovers
Practice being away from home at night by organizing a sleepover at a friend or grandma's house!
4. Make a GOALS LIST
Sit down with your camper before they leave and make a list of some things they would like to accomplish while at camp.
5. Take a Family Camping Trip
If your child isn't used to the outdoors and camping, it may be a good idea to take a family camping trip to get accustomed to the camp life!
6. ASK THE EXPERTS
