4 Learning Games to Play This Summer

4 Learning Games to Play This Summer

With your kids being home for the summer, your life as a parent might be much busier. It’s easy to let your kids play video games or watch television all day, but it’s important to ensure their brains get some stimulation as well. Kids deserve a break from school, but you can incorporate some fun learning games at home. Get creative with how you use kids labels and try some of these learning games this summer.

Build A Fort Or Dollhouse

Work with your kids to build a fort or dollhouse out of items you have in your home. Push together a few chairs, drape over blankets or sheets, and add other items to make a fun fort. This helps kids think about what items would be best to make the fort as big as they want, including where to include doors, how to incorporate light, and more. Once it’s complete, you can utilize personalized name labels to let your kids name the fort or dollhouse they created.

Uno

Uno is a fun game for the entire family to play, and it requires some thinking from kids. They have to match colors and numbers while also thinking a step or two ahead instead of just reacting at the moment. Teach your kids different strategies while playing Uno and you might be surprised at how quickly they pick it up.

Flashcards

Depending on how old your kids are, you can incorporate flashcards to help them continue learning this summer. You can use camp name labels or other kids labels to create your own flashcards and make them as difficult or easy as you’d like. Practice multiplication or division if you have older kids, or help younger kids learn their letters or numbers.

Games At The Dinner Table

Games at the dinner table don’t have to be very active to stimulate the brain. Ask your kids about the favorite parts of their day and what they are looking forward to the next day. When you talk about the things you did each day, it teaches information retention and recollection, which is a great skill for kids to have.

Label Daddy has all the personalized name labels you could ask for this summer. No matter what learning games you want to incorporate with your children, we have you covered. Feel free to contact us at any time to learn more or if you have any questions.
