I can’t believe it is already going into May!!! Where has this year gone! Once of the funnest things about the beginning of May is Cinco de Mayo!!! And the best way to celebrate is to plan a little celebration! So I have found a collection of great resources to help us all have a fun Cinco de Mayo.

Because we are homeschooling nerds a holiday wouldn’t be complete without learning about it. So I was happy to find DLTK has a great little synopsis on the history and then also has great printable activities for the kids like coloring sheets and word search. The kids can also make (or the adults can for favors) these adorable mini pinatas that I saw over at One Charming Party. I love this idea because it is quick, cute and not as messy as a traditional pinata!

You will need some fabulous decor! Embellish has some great printables for banners, invites and more. More Design Please has some gorgeous decorating ideas. Hostess with the Mostess has the most adorable Parisol Topiary. I don’t know she came up with it but it is adorable!

Then we have to think about food. Over at NerdFamily Food I have some Easy Entertaining Tips that start with a giant pork roast for tacos, nachos and more. I totally love the Individual 7 Layer Dip Cups over at The Girl Who Ate Everything! It is genius!! My 10 Online has Cinco de Mayo margarita recipes that look fabulous!

And last but certainly not least, you have to have fabulous desserts! Pennies on the Platter has a scrumptious look Mexican Brownie Bottom Cheesecake. And Babble has a luscious Mexican Chocolate Cake.

There are so many great ideas here that will make a great celebration! So what are you doing for Cinco de Mayo?
